How do I replace my Tile's battery?
If you have a Tile with a replaceable battery you can switch it out on your own. Check out this page for instructions on how to change your Tile's battery. If you have a Tile with a built-in or sealed battery, it means that the battery is installed inside the Tile and can not be accessed or changed. Tile models with built-in batteries are eligible for reTile. You can opt-in to our reTile program to replace or upgrade your Tile at a highly discounted rate. To learn more about reTile, click here. Why do some Tiles have built-in batteries?
Built-in batteries provide a sealed design that gives Tiles like Sticker and Slim 2020 a higher waterproof rating and longer battery life. In addition, they help our Tile lineup provide variety to best fit your lifestyle - whether you are looking for something sleek and seamless like the Slim 2020, or if you prefer something small and durable like the Sticker.
What happens to my other Tiles that I didn't activate?
We've worked hard to extend Tile's life as long as possible. If a Tile has not been activated in over a year, we cannot guarantee you will have a full year of service left in that Tile. We recommend activating your Tiles as soon as you receive them to get their maximum benefits!
What if my battery dies early?
If your Tile’s battery dies before a year has passed from your purchase date (or 3 years with Sticker and Slim 2020), we’ll replace it free of charge! It’s covered by our worry-free warranty.
