Add a Tile to your account
To ensure successful Tile activation, complete the following steps.
- Check the following on your mobile device:
- Latest version of your phone or tablet's operating system
- Latest version of the Tile app
- Tile app is open or running in the background
- In your device settings, Location Services is set to On
- Your device has a working WiFi or cellular connection
- Other permission settings
- In the Tile app, tap the + sign at the top left corner of the screen.
- Tap Activate a Tile.
- For Tile partner products, follow the prompts.
- Press the button on the Tile once to make sure it rings.
For Sticker 2022, the button is on the side of the Tile.
- Tap Next. Keep the Tile close to your device. Wait 10 seconds for the connection to complete.
- The app displays the message "Activating Tile" and rings the Tile.
- After successful activation, the app displays the message "Great! Tile is now activated!"
- Tap Next.
- Select a Category for your Tiled item.
- Tap Find to ring your Tile.
- Tap Done to stop the ring.
Find your mobile device
If your smartphone or tablet is within Bluetooth range, pressing the Tile button twice in quick succession on any of your activated Tiles will ring your device even if it's in silent mode.
